The lady will move up and down and it is your challenge to keep up with her or else you can’t poke her forehead. At first I though this is a boring game with only one objective but the creator of this game add something to make it fun. Randomly while playing certain powerup will drop and if you take, it will change the way you poke the lady’s forehead. It is fun to discover what type of power up you get and it is a lot of them. Use Boxmen is a platform puzzle where the main goal is to make the boxman reach the box no matter what it take. This boxman actually is not alone and it is impossible for him to solve all this puzzle all by his own so he need another boxmen to help him. As the game name “Use Boxmen”, your boxman will be able to duplicate himself (I can say it is a dummy) that can be use as a tool for him to reach his objective that is reaching the box. By pressing “Shift” key boxman will start duplicate himself and the boxmen(”dummy”) will do whatever he currently did at the time he make the duplication. If the boxman was running so the duplicate boxmen(dummy) will also running and keep running. Boxman can stand, jump, run, and crouching. Heavy Weapons is another arena shooter game for web browser. What make this game stand out among other titles in the same genre are they offer player with rich set of weapons for player to choose and it have 21 of them. Each weapon has their own advantage/disadvantage and may be useful under certain situation but player must remember that they can only carry up to 3 kind of weapon each time so choose wisely. To get access to all the weapon player need  have a cash by killing the enemy who drop a crystal and collect it to get the cash and then player can spend that cash inside the shop that can be access in between levels. Talking about level, Heavy Weapons offer 60 different level for player play on and face with different kind of enemies and bosses. The control of the game is easy to understand, player will use WASD key to navigate/move their ship, mouse to shoot and QE or 123 key to change between weapon. The game start with a board that contain the Knight(it is you!!), colored blocks, key, gate and items and monster(refer screenshot below).

To finish the stage is very simple, what you need to do is to destroy a set of blocks(need at least 3 connected block with the same color) and make your way to the key. After your knight get the key then proceed to the unlocked gate to end the level. If you don’t want simply finish the game just like that what you can do is to try kill the monsters and gain more experience for your knight to level up. More level more HP will he get. You can also visit a shop to upgrade you knight equipment using the money you get while solving the puzzle. Watch the game trailer below to see it yourself.

I believe most of the computer out there that connected to the Internet already have Flash Player installed so they can view any Flash content in any website. Most of these Flash content created using Adobe Flash software and the latest one at this moment is Adobe Flash CS4.

Adobe Flash is a great software to have but the price is consider a bit expensive and not all people can afford it. For now it only available for Windows and Mac platform. The question here is, what if we can’t afford to buy Adobe Flash software or we are a few people that use Unix platform like Linux? Is there any alternative for us to create wonderful Flash content without paying for expensive software or leaving the wonderful Linux to install Windows/Mac? Well…the answer is YES. You still have the alternative for Adobe Flash software and good news is it’s free. When talk about free alternative Open Source software/tool is always the answer. I already spend my time looking for the best and reliable alternative and below are the list.

Swfmill

Swfmill is a free command line tool that will generate SWF file base on the XML you wrote. Of course it is not as easy as Adobe Flash IDE but Swfmill still capable to allow you to do simple animation and create a SWF file contain the library asset that can be use in other project.

Flex 3 SDK

Flex SDK is release by Adobe to Open Source community base on Adobe Flash platform. With Flex SDK you program with Action Script and do whatever Adobe Flash IDE can do. Combine with Swfmill you can create complete and complex Flash content without spending any dime.

FlashDevelop

FlashDevelop is an IDE that can be use by programmer to write Action Script and it integrated with Flex SDK to compile and create SWF file. For now FlashDevelop only Windows platform. For Unix or Linux user you can use Eclipse and an alternative IDE.

Above are the software/tool that I use to create my Flash content. Of course it is not as easy as Adobe Flash software and it more suitable to programmer rather then animator. The best way to use both where your animator can still use Adobe Flash IDE to create wonderful and complex animation and you can use above open source software/tool to integrate what your animator has done with your Action Script code and make a wonder Flash game.

Electronic Box is a puzzle flash game. The idea behind this game is very interesting where you as a player need to complete the electric circut by using different component provided to you. Your mission is simple, you need to supply power to the target. It has about 15 level for you to play but Electric Box allow you to create and play new custome level created by you or other player. The graphic is nice and simple and the play time for original 15 level is about 30 minutes or more depend how fast you can solve the puzzle. 99 Bricks is a brand new puzzle game from WeirdBeardGames
that use the concept of all time favorite classic game, Tetris. What make this game different from the original Tetris is the way WeirdBeardGames creatively add physic element into this game and they reverse the goal of this game compare to original Tetris.

You will been given 99 Bricks to start of (well…that how the game name come from) and your challenge is to build a brick tower as high as possible with those 99 bricks given to you. It sound easy right? Well here the twist…because of the physic element being added into this game, you need to balance your brick build so your tower have a solid ground/support so it will not collapse cause of the unbalance weight between left and right side of the brick tower. You will see what I mean once you start playing.
